新水晶宮（遠藤麻衣×百瀬文）New Crystal Palace (Mai ENDO×Aya MOMOSE)

遠藤麻衣と百瀬文による共同制作。映像作品《Love Condition》（2020）において、二人は粘土をこねながら「理想の性器」をめぐる対話を繰り広げる。その過程で生まれた形の一つを、樹脂粘土で再制作した立体作品。性器の形態や機能に関する既存の規範を問い直すとともに、対話と造形が互いに作用しながら変化していくプロセスを、ひとつのかたちとして提示している。Created collaboratively by Mai Endo and Aya Momose, this sculpture emerged from the production of the video work Love Condition (2020), in which the two artists engage in a conversation about their “ideal genitalia” while continuously shaping clay. One of the forms that emerged through this process was recreated in polymer clay. Questioning established norms surrounding the forms and functions of genitalia, the sculpture presents a form produced through a process in which conversation and physical making continually shape and transform one another.
