CV
百瀬文は映像やパフォーマンスなどを通じて、他者との関係に潜む権力の非対称性について探究する美術家である。声や視線、身振り、接触といった行為を手がかりに、見る／見られる、語る／語られるという関係を問い直してきた。親密さと暴力、ケアと支配が容易には切り分けられない場面に着目し、社会のなかで誰の声や欲望が認められ、誰のものが不可視化されているのかを浮かび上がらせる。
近年はフェミニズムの視点から歴史や神話を批判的に読み替え、生殖をめぐる自己決定権、国家によるからだの管理、植民地主義、女性と自然の関係へと関心を広げている。ドキュメンタリーとフィクション、現実のからだとデジタル技術によって生成されたイメージを横断する作品は、他者とのコミュニケーションの不可能性と可能性を探っている。

MOMOSE Aya is a contemporary artist who explores the asymmetries of power embedded in relationships with others through moving images, performance, and other media. Through voice, gaze, gesture, and physical contact, she has questioned the dynamics of seeing and being seen, speaking and being spoken for. By examining situations in which intimacy and violence, care and control cannot be easily separated, her work reveals whose voices and desires are recognized in society and whose are rendered invisible.
In recent years, drawing on feminist perspectives, Momose has critically reinterpreted history and mythology, expanding her inquiry to reproductive autonomy, the regulation of bodies by the state, colonialism, and the relationship between women and nature. Moving between documentary and fiction, physical bodies and digitally generated images, her work explores both the impossibility and possibility of communication with others.
