鑑賞者は一人で暗闇のなか、車椅子に座り、耳元のスピーカーから流れる女性の声を聞く。女性の声は自身の自慰行為について話している。暗闇のなかに一つの小さな明かりが灯り、鑑賞者は耳元の声によって、そこへ向かうよう促される。車椅子のハンドルを握る手はどんどん濡れていき、水面を移動していることに気づく。移動しながら同時に耳元では、脳性麻痺のためにこわばってしまった自分の体の痛みが、自慰行為によってほぐれていくことなど、体の反応や性に関する個人的なエピソードが繊細に語られていく。女性間でも自慰行為について語る機会は少なく、他者がどのように自分自身をケアしているのか知ることもほとんどない。そして、身体が自由に動かせない場合は一人でケアすることが困難である。障がいのある女性個人の性欲という、今まで語られてこなかった問題を通して、自身と他者をどのようにケアするのか、ケアとは何かを問う。The participant sits alone in a wheelchair in the dark and listens to a woman’s voice coming from a speaker near their ears. The female talks about her masturbation. In the dark room, a small light illuminates, urging the viewer to move toward it, guided by the voice. The hands gripping the wheelchair’s handles gradually become wet, and the participant realizes that they are moving through a shallow pool. While moving, the voice recounts personal experiences of bodily reactions and sexuality, such as how the pain in her body, stiffened by cerebral palsy, is relieved through masturbation. Women rarely talk about self-pleasure, and rarely do they know how others take care of themselves. Moreover, caring for oneself is challenging when the body cannot move freely. Through the topic of sexual desire coming from a female with physical disabilities, Momose brings up what has been a largely undiscussed topic, prompting us to question what care means and how it is possible to care for ourselves and those around us.
